uncapitals — international art-residency that rethinks Northern remoteness and spotlights the spaces outside the capitals
this time we’re heading for Kjøllefjord, a fishing village in Northern Norway, to discover the forgotten beauty of arctic nature inside human motions
this journey is a recovery of the peaceful and solitary place whose sensitive balance can be easily broken by practical intentions
project participants work in two directions: dance laboratory and video production — and fix their movements through the old land with these tools. the result will be a film-almanac about human touch to the fragile North
we are gathering artists from Finland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Iceland, Greenland, The Faroe Islands, The Åland Islands and Northwest Russia to join the uncapitals team, by applying for two main directions:
transport, food and accommodation costs are covered by the organisers. age of participants is 18–35. the working language is English
